Turkey’s 2nd biggest exporter city Bursa hosted almost 200 business people from 23 countries. Foreign business people who came to the city within the framework of Textile Production Project which was enacted under the leadership BTSO (Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry) looked for ways to start new co-operations with the firms of Bursa.

BTSO which conducts the most international competitiveness development projects amongst the chambers and stock markets in Bursa, achieved a new organization to strengthen the players of the sector in the capital of textile, Bursa. Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), is hosting 200 businessmen from 23 countries who came to Bursa within the scope of Development of International Competitiveness of Bursa’s Textile Industry Project supported by the Ministry of Economy.   
 
“THEY ARE HERE FOR CO-OPERATION”

More than 50 firms which opened stands at the organization held at Grand Swiss Belhotel Çelik Palas got a chance to present the products of their new collection. Countries like Russia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Iran and South Africa showed great interest to the organization held within the scope of the Production-Development project. The event will continue till 30th of September 2016.
 
“OUR COUNTRY IS A SAFE HARBOUR”

President of the Board of Directors İbrahim Burkay stated that the steps taken in the economic field and the reform packages actualized by the government after the treacherous attempted coup on July 15 had influenced the market positively. Expressing that Turkey had always been a safe harbor for foreign investors, Burkay also added that they aimed to strengthen the exportation and the competition of the industries in Bursa which is the production base of Turkey within the framework of the Production-Development project.
 
“WE HOSTED NEARLY 7,000 BUYERS”

President Burkay stated that procurement committee programs made great contributions to the sectors, to tourism and to the economy of the city. He also added: “Our firms get a chance to present their latest product collections to foreign buyers. As Bursa business world we give great importance to procurement committee programs. We brought almost 7,000 buyers to Bursa within the framework of our Commercial Safari Project which was enacted to unite foreign investors with the firms of Bursa. In this event we are hosting important procurement committees especially from Russia and Iran. We aim to carry our members into an advantageous position in today’s world where competition is accelerating at a great speed. The increase in the competition power of Bursa poses great importance in the accomplishment of goals we determined as a country.”
 
“IT’S NOT AN EASY TASK TO BRING SO MANY BUSINESS PEOPLE TO BURSA”

President of the 25th Profession Committee of BTSO Beyhan Cambaz, stated that procurement committee organization which was organized under the leadership of BTSO and with the support of Ministry of Economy had brought dynamism to the sector. He also added, “We got the chance to meet about co-operation opportunities with important firms. It’s not easy to have one-to-one meetings and establish co-operations with buyers from so many different countries. I would like to thanks BTSO for such a beautiful organization.”
 
“WE ARE EXPERIENCING MANY FIRSTS WITH BTSO”

Businessman Orhan Aygün, pointed out that he conducted one-to-one meetings with almost 40 firms on the first day of the procurement committee organization. He also said: “Thanks to BTSO we continue to experience firsts. The global entrepreneurship manifested itself one more time in Bursa. A very important organization has been achieved. It’s not an easy task to reach procurement committees from 23 countries and acquire visas for them. BTSO brought the procurement committees to our feet. I would like to thank everyone who contributed.”
 
“WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP THE TURKISH PRODUCTS”

Natalya Anisimova who came to Bursa as a representative of the Russian textile firm TDL, stated textile of Bursa and Turkey was above world standards. She also added: “We have been doing business with Turkey for almost 5 years. We visited this organization to establish new co-operations. According to us, Russians, the quality of Turkish goods is always very high. We will never give up the quality of Turkish goods.”
